Are you looking for a rest and a relaxing atmosphere in rural surroundings, quiet and yet full of change? Well, come and visit us. Our nice little village Engensen surrounded by woods is situated between Hanover and Celle along the "Spargelstrasse", i.e. "Route of the Asparagus Plant" leading through Lawer Saxony's areas famous for and specialized in growing asparagus shoots. You can go on a long hike and enjoy the healthy fresh air. The flat countryside invites you to cycling tours far away from motor traffic. Of course we provide bikes free of charge for you. Warm and cold drinks are available, there is a fridge and a micro-wave. We offer you a rich buffet breakfast for a good start of your day. There is a spacious car park in front of our house, but there is also public transport. Our guesthouse has a separate entrance. You live in quiet, light and friendly furnished rooms with a TV set and a radio alarm-clock. According to the weather conditions you can spend your time relaxing in the garden or enjoy a barbecue. Within walking distance there's an excelent restaurant, "Zum alten Posthof" (Have a look at the menu and you will feel hungry.), and a nice coffee shop with homemade cakes in the village. There is also a small supermarket for your daily needs and a kiosk (open on Sundays, holidays and in the evenings), a florist's and a bank. For those guests interested in golf there is a golf-course (18 holes) with a restaurant in Engensen. There is also an open air swimming-pool for swimming and sun-baithing near to the village. Engensen is an ideal starting-point for many places of interest or leasure reached in a very short time. From here you can get to Hanover or Celle in about 15 minutes by car.
